Just open the link the traveler sends you.
No app to install.
Open the URL the traveler sent you (via messaging or email) in your usual browser — Safari on iPhone, Chrome on Android. If you got a QR code, scan it with your phone's camera to open it.
Links opened inside apps like Messenger may not work properly. If that happens, follow the on-screen instructions to "Open in browser".You'll see the trip name and the traveler's name. If it's the right trip, tap "Yes".
Enter your name (a nickname). If the traveler set up a "secret question", type the answer too, then tap "Request to follow".
Once the traveler approves you, you'll be able to see the itinerary and photos in real time. It may take a little while to be approved.
If you'd like to be alerted about new posts, tap "Allow" when asked for notification permission.
On iPhone: to receive notifications, first use the Share button to "Add to Home Screen", then open it from that new icon. For travelers
If the person you're sharing with isn't comfortable with smartphones, it helps to go through these steps together and complete the follow request before you leave. When they're right there with you, the easiest way is to have them scan the QR code on your share screen.
Even with the URL, no one can see real-time posts or future plans until the traveler approves the request. You can use it with peace of mind.
